Waterfalls of Greece "Tzoumerkon"
Location: Waterfall of Tzoumerkon Arta 
The waterfall is found in the root of Tzoumerkon under the top Katafidi (2.393 m.). The village took his name from his two waterfalls of 35 metres, which are found in distance of 7 km from the village in the region Siopoto. The running water, the taps and firs compose the aesthetics of landscape. The water begins from altitude 1.400 m. and fall with impetus from height of 50 m. Certain times the 'Spring in near distance, is created second Waterfall with the same roughly height. It has water all year, with the exception from July until September.  Before 1765, the village was known as Retsiana and around 1770, went through the village father Kosmas Aetolos, who is said to collect inhabitants and spoke of the God faith.  Before 1927 the village was known as [Schoretsiana] while it was renamed and took his current name then from twin waterfalls (katarraktes). In 1930, upon the proposal of Professor Nikos Giotis, the district adopted its current name ' Waterfall '. The most characteristic feature of the village is the hum of water which never stops. From the moment one reaches the village hears and sees running water comes directly from the two waterfalls, from the belly of the mountain. The waterfalls constitute destination for small walks and in the natural space of the village dominate the "platania", "taps", paths, the intense abrupt tops and cliffs. In the village are found a lot of traditional hydraulic installations with the natural force of water. In his under utmost waterfall is the watermill that belongs to the holy temple of Virgin Mary. Also the watermills Saint Ekaterini and Chr. Grabia in Sgara. Other important places in the village it is the stone bridge in Sgara, the Saint Friday, the Saint Georgios Zgaras, the Prophet Ilias and the Saint Konstantinos. The village is between the mountainous imposing volumes and is 63 km from Arta and 65 km from Ioannina.

Waterfalls of Greece "Neraida"
Location: Mylopotamos, Kythira Island
From the village of Mylopotamos follow the sign to “Neraida Waterfall”,  (also called the waterfall of Fonissas), it will lead you to an idyllic site with tropical greenery and beautiful bridges. The impressive waterfall of “Neraida” or “Fonissa”, is situated among huge plane trees and the sparkling waters fall from a height of 20 meters and small lakes are created underneath. If you come to the desire for a swim in the green waters, it is good to know that even in summer the water is frozen. Walking around the waterfall you will find the abandoned 20 watermills and more small lakes formed by the terrain. Be sure that the environment will charm you and take you back to the time of fairy tales and myths, in places where once lived. Here is said to have drowned in the past years a little girl, and the evil it owes the name of the waterfall (Fonissa). After a refreshing walk in nature, you can pass through the ravine and go for a swim at Kalami beach. It is one of the best landscapes of Kythera island.

Waterfalls of Greece “Dimosari”
Location:  Lefkas Island
The Waterfall “Dimosari” is located 20 km south of Dimosari town of Lefkada island. From Nydri follow the signs and within ten minutes you see the first waterfall. Then to reach your destination you follow a 20 min exciting path to the Waterfall.

Waterfalls of Greece “Drimona”
 Location: North-Evoia
On the eastern side of the Northern Evoia, at an elevation of 620 m, 4 km from the monastery of “Osiou David”, you will reach the waterfall of “Drimona”. The path is between a crowded vegetation environment. The fast falling waters in their path, make two other small waterfalls and two large lakes. The waterfalls are located within a beautiful forest of FIR and black pine and the waters fall from a height of 15 m. At the entrance there is an exhibition of plants and fossil. The region is constructed with trails, stairs, places for relaxation and playgrounds. The great waterfall is quite impressive, the months that there is a lot of water at the beginning of spring until early May. At the base there is a lake and it keeps water until May. From the waterfalls start two paths, one leads us on top of mountain (4.5 km)and a path that leads us to the monastery of St. David. Also interesting place is to walk to North-East of the village Cherry to visit an interesting fossil Museum.

Waterfalls of Greece “Edessa”
 Location: Edessa -The park with waterfallsThe city is famous for its waterfalls and definitely the main attraction forming the River Edessaios or Bodas which flows through the city. The park of waterfalls has stone steps which quide you to special round places to see very close the waterfalls and in some points you can pass from behind. Previously, the waterfalls were 7, but today there are 2 large and some smaller surrounded with ancient plane trees. Among them consist of the so-called Great Waterfall (called Karanos) and the Twin Waterfall (called Diplos or Dihalotos). Also in the area exist “The open Museum of Water”. Waterfalls of Greece "Petra"
 Location: Petra, Aliartos, Viotia
After the Aliartos and the way to go to Livadia is the village called Petra (Stone). In the Center, next to a church take a narrow asphalted road and straight is the waterfall on the basis of a huge rock wall. The waterfall is around twenty meters, very beautiful and worth the visit especially in February & March after rains. The Waterfall of “Petras” impresses you with the hum of the Waterfall Stone.

Waterfalls of Greece “Livaditis”
Location: Xanthi - Drama
The waterfall "Livaditis" is one of the largest in the Balkans. They say it's one of the bigest waterfall from a hight around 40 m. and you hear the incredible sound of the falling waters. During the winter months, the waters of the waterfall freeze, creating a huge Crystal sculptures. The main access is by a road from Xanthi, following the path Stavroupoli-Kariofito-Leivaditis. Other access to the waterfall is by taking a specially configured marked hiking path road 7km from the village Trahoni, which you reach the waterfall. There are a lot of old bridges, tall trees, beeches and Oaks and a very rich vegetation. The waterfall is located in the Prefecture of Drama from the village Paranesti, which the inhabitants call him waterfall “Trahonio”. But the easy access is from the Prefecture of Xanthi, from the village Stavroupoli which the inhabitants call him waterfall “Livaditi”.

Waterfalls of Greece “Lepida”
Location: Drama Paranesti
The waterfall is located in the mountain range “Drama Paranestiou” from the direction North to Paranesti. From the Dipotama after a small path road 4 km, we reach the waterfall. There are tall trees, beeches and Oaks. These waters are continuing smoothly on their way to the area of Platanos where they form a second waterfall, (cascade of the nymphs). The waters flowing within the Gorges of "Loulougka" and :Koutoupous" with a unique natural formation. Then these waters flow together until a little further down where they meet the waters of Platanos forming the Vrasiati torrent which flows into the Zarmpanitsas Gorge and finally to the beach of Agios Andreas.

Waterfalls of Greece “Ag. Varvara”
Location: Drama Dipotama
Close to the village of Dipotama in the Arkoudorema valley is the first waterfall with a height 15m the Agia Varvara Waterfall. Its waters form a small lake and the area around has been landscaped as a leisure area by the Forest Agency. The road to the right of the Arkoudorema, one of many, has very interesting rocks and paths and impressive landscape.

Waterfalls of Greece “Vrontos”
Location: Ilia &Arcadia
It is located in the 7th km of the road Karytainas-Andritsainas before reaching the Alfeios River. From Gortyna fetch Atsicholo and continue to the village of Maratha, formerly Blachorafti. Waterfalls of Greece “Lepida (Arkadia)”
Location:  Kastro Orias, Arkadia
The Mountain Parnonas with the highest peak Great Tourla 1936 m is located in the Eastern Peloponnese, opposite the Taygetos. Close to the village of Agios Petros, east of the monastery of Malevi there is a river called Xerokambos, according to locals xirokambi. The stream flows through the eastern side out, falls from very high and forming the waterfalls of Lepida.

After the bridge ‘Kalaritiko’ from the villages Syrrako and Kalarrytes follow the right way to Matsouki.

Waterfalls of Greece "Klifkis"
Location: Kalenzi, Ioannina
Near the bridge of "Politsa" is the village "Kalentzi". Following the road you reach the area "Klifki" where an underground river flows from a cave.  A large artificial reservoir collects the water of the cave that ends up there. The waterfall of the Klifkis 47m is quite well known in the area very beautiful place and landscaped.

Waterfalls of Greece "Fortosi"
Location: Fortosi, Ioannina                                                                                                                           From Ioannina you follow the road to the village "Fortosi". Under the bridge of "Politsa" there are two consecutive falls 11 and 15 meters, which is the most beautiful point.  After the village starts a small but very beautiful Gorge very rich in vegetation, with beautiful landscape and lots of waterfalls. The first waterfall is 12 meters & the others smaller.

Waterfalls of Greece "Theothoriana"
Location: Ipiros, Voulgareli
The waterfalls "Theodoriana" are in "Tzoumerka" near the slopes of "Kostellata".
There are three ways to go:
The easiest and most relaxed is either from the village "Voulgareli" or the village "Katarachtis", climb to the top Katafidi (2393m) and then descend to Theodoriana.
By car to the village "Kostellata" and then descend in Theodoriana
From the village "Mesochora" near to "Trikala", pass the barrier of river "Acheloos". The waterfall is near the village. The area is very beautiful in all seasons.

Waterfalls of Greece "Kremastos"
Location: Oiti
From the village "Kompotades" (near Lamia) follow the dirt road to the valley "Stenovouni" (in Oiti), entering the gorge "Gerakaris" (with a total of 48 waterfalls), you'll find the waterfall hanging in the mountain Oiti. It has a height around 160-180 meters and the scenery is very beautiful.

Waterfalls of Greece "St. Sophia & Dichalorematos"
Location: St. Sophia & Dichalorematos                                                                                                     The St. Sophia is the first village leaving the lake "Trichonida". The old name of the village was "Mokista", meaning place full of green. The area has amazing waterfalls, worth to visit. Leaving from Thermo, after the village of Agia Sophia, descending to Lake Trichonida it is the church of the Virgin of Tenderness. You walk further to two very old watermills dating from 1771, follow the water through a path and you reach a large landslide. Beneath the waterfall rocks are visible signs that there was a second waterfall, that's why they call them Dichalorematos Falls.

Waterfalls of Greece "Monis Taxiarhon"
Location: Erimanthos Spartia                                                                                                                     At the foot of the mountain Erimanthos you follow the road to "Alepochori" and then you reach the path that comes right from the village of "Spartia" and follow up the marble cross. There you turn left into the path to the Monastery "Moni Taxiarhon". Also there is another waterfall, not next to each other, but a little higher than the other. Following the path up a little bit you will have a beautiful picture of the waterfall.

Waterfalls of Greece "Loulougkas"
Location: Sitena, Arkadia                                                                                                                        The way to find the "Loulougka waterfall" is to take out the old path Sitena-Platanos a intensive downhill path. After an hour or so, before entering the Gorge of "Zarmpanitsas", we have to look for the "Loulougka", following the water we easily up to the waterfall but you can't easily see the whole waterfall which is rammed into the rocks.

Waterfalls of Greece "Selinounta"
Location: Upper Mavriki                                                                                                                        From the highway Corinth-Patras at 179 km, follow the road to the village "Lower Mavriki". Continue for 10 km and we meet the junction that leads to the "Upper Mavriki". Under the village starts the Gorge, you see a line of successive waterfalls and at the end is the Gorge "Trano Lagadi", which is at the foot of the mountain. "Selinounta" is one of the longest rivers in the Northern Peloponnese, covering a length of several kilometres. The central part is the natural western boundary of "Mount Klokos". Also down in the Great Gorge, there was once dense forest.

Waterfalls of Greece "Ag. Taxiarhis"
Location:Vlasia, Achaea                                                                                                                        From the central square of the village "Upper Vlasia" follow the road right down. There is no sign, but when you get close to the waterfall you will understand. The road narrows, left, stands a huge rock and on the bottom right are many large trees creating a beautiful landscape. Going down to the river the water disappears into the earth. As we approach the flowing water, still not seeing the entire waterfall, because the upper part is hidden behind rocks. The waterfall keeps water also in summer and you can take a bath or even a shower. The area is suitable for trekking, climbing, cycling and 4x4 wheel driving.

Waterfalls of Greece "Tritonas"
Location: Amigdalees, Ilia                                                                                                                       The waterfall is near "Andritsaina-Krestena" road, opposite the Monastery "Sepetou", where a road leads from the village of almond trees. Opposite the entrance of the monastery there is a dirt road that ends with gate which is usually open. If the door is closed, ask for permission from the nuns and will allow you to pass. A little further down, on the right, there is the Church and left a road continues approximately 1 km cuts a stream formed by the waters of the waterfall. It is the Third that springs from the mountain "Minthi" and poured in the river "Alfios". The waterfall is impressive, is not very high but the water flows across the width and the sight is beautiful. After the first waterfall you can reached the second which is like the twin brother of the first. In a distance is a third and largest waterfall, left there are steep cliffs. The water coming from the mountain falls from a height of at least 50 m. If you want to enjoy the waterfalls, you must go by the end of March when the water supply is great.

Waterfalls of Greece "Gremistos"
Location: Peloponese, Tsapournia
The waterfall "Gremistos" is after the village "Micha", from the side of the slope "Tsapournias". The distance is about 3.5 km and can easily walk. The entire route is full of firs.

Waterfalls of Greece "Kremasto Nero (Hanging Water)"
Location: Valia Kirna, Samarina, Grevena                                                                                                    In the southwest of the village "Samarina" is the stream of "Valia Kirna" (also called stream of devil) and it crosses the region at length about 6 km. At the foot of the mountain "Smolikas" 2.610 m there are two lakes which are known as "Drakolimni" and further is one of the largest waterfalls 100 m., "Kremasto Nero" (hanging water). The approach to the top or the root of the waterfall is almost impossible, which throws its waters into a steep ravine, called "Skontina".
